A New Design with Logojoy

2nd January 2018

So, it’s a new start and 2018 promises to be a good one if I am willing to work for it. I’ve already spoken about my 2018 blogging goals, but the truth is that blogging is only part of what I do. I am also a freelance writer and freelance photographer. This means that I copywrite content for companies and brands as well as ghost write on their blogs whilst also providing photography services.

One thing I’ve never had for that part of my business is a brand. I have the tippytupps name and my own name, but no logo as the “mummy – wife – wannabe runner” thing isn’t quite what I’m looking for when I want to promote my freelance career. So, when the team from Logojoy got in contact to try out their logo creation service, I was eager to give it a go.

Can Appy drinks make you happy?

5th December 2017

Can you see what I did there? *see’s tumbleweed and moves on*

In all seriousness though, if you follow the blog then you will know that I have a pair of toddlers that are very fussy eaters. This unfortunately extends to drinks, and the Bear in particular is very fussy over what she will drink and what she deems as ‘yucky’. So when the team from the Appy Kids Co got in contact and asked us to try their products I was keen to give it a go as I’m always looking for good ‘on the go’ options.

Healthy Sweets for Treats…..too good to be true?

19th September 2017

If anyone has a toddler like me then I assume that their sweet tooth has arrived. We did everything by the book – in fact the first time she tasted artificial sugar was a tiny piece of cake on her first birthday – however it didn’t make a blind bit of difference. She is now a complete sugar monster who has a tendancy to demand chips, crisps, ice cream and lollypops in equal measure. Therefore one thing I do stress about is making sure she has a balanced diet.

Some days she does amazing – weetabix, yogurts, spaghetti bolognaise, grapes, chilli. Other days less so – buttery toast, chips, heinz pasta, crisps, chocolate. When they’re just shy of 3 though, you pick your battles. It’s on days like these though that I worry that nutritionally she isn’t getting what she needs. We used to use liquid vitamins in her bedtime milk but those days are long gone now and in all honestly it tastes like crap so she just won’t drink anything I put it in.

  • My feed may be full of hearts and chocolates but there's no doubt that Papa Bear knows me so well! @alexcv8 FEET ❤️
  • This boy ❤️❤️❤️
After a false start at potty training in the new year, he suddenly took a proper interest at the weekend and told us he was going to be a "big boy".
.
Fast forward 5 days and he's not only not had an accident all week, but he's also woke up bone dry every morning AND ditched the dummy. The real test will be out over the weekend, but where has my baby gone?!
  • I love it when the post man brings book treats through the door!! The question is, what do I read first?
.
I really enjoyed keeping track of what I read last year so I thought I would bring that forward in to 2019. Rather than having individual book reviews, I thought I would simply look back on what I read in the past month and share my thoughts. .
Therefore, if you’re looking for some book inspiration, then I've been looking back on January over on the blog today. It's definitely been a bit of a mixed selection…..link in bio.
  • This girl ❤️❤️❤️
Funny and infuriating, loving and volatile. I wouldn't have it any other way.
.
We've had a fabulous birthday party at the ice cream farm today and stretched it out with a trip to Charlie's. If you live our way and have heard of Charlie's then you now know we're a lot lighter in the purse. I hope your Saturday has been a good one!
  • The snow has pretty much dissappeared here now but I can't resist sharing these beauties from my wander through our village on Wednesday. Moooo!!
  • As the country was covered in white today, our childcare was snowed in at home. That left us with an extra day at home and the dilemma of what do you actually do when the dreaded snow day arrives but there is actually work you really do need to do from home?! Is it really possible to work from home and look after small children?
.
That's exactly what I'm chatting a about over on the blog today (link in bio). So, what do you do?
.
Ps. How gorgeous are these two 😍😍😍
