Back in April my husband got us tickets for FriendsFest for my birthday. Neither of us are huge fans of the show, but we did used to watch it back in the day. On a random little road, not far from Oswestry is a little hidden treasure if you are in the area and nearby. The British Ironwork Centre is a wonderful sculpture park and shop which allows visitors to explore at their own pace and enjoy some of the fabulous works of art. It’s one of our local go to places when we have a few hours free, so we thought we would share a few of our highlights.
Last weekend we decided to do something a little bit different and trekked down to the Clwyd Veteran & Vintage Machinery Society rally. Yes, I know that it’s a bit of a mouthful, but in short it was a fabulous show of all things mechanical and vintage. Cars, motorcycles, cycles, camper vans, tractors, LandRover’s, military vehicles…basically if it has an engine or is mechanical in nature, it was there. Needless to say, Henry and hubby had a great time.

The Eisteddfod is an annual festival of music, dance and culture which showcases amazing talent in music, folklore and dance.
