Back in April my husband got us tickets for FriendsFest for my birthday. Neither of us are huge fans of the show, but we did used to watch it back in the day. I still remember recording the last ever episode before heading into town with friends. We got back at around 2am, grabbed some snacks and settled in to watch it. On a random little road, not far from Oswestry is a little hidden treasure if you are in the area and nearby. The British Ironwork Centre is a wonderful sculpture park and shop which allows visitors to explore at their own pace and enjoy some of the fabulous works of art. It’s one of our local go to places when we have a few hours free, so we thought we would share a few of our highlights.

SATURDAY Based in the idyllic location of Llangollen, you can see the hint of the festival on… Keep Reading

We live in a fairly rural community so our local library is pretty small by most standards; just a single medium sized room which is roughly the size of our ground floor but it’s welcoming and has a great childrens selection of… Keep Reading
