It’s back to the usual routine this week after the Bears birthday. Bar the fact that she’s expecting more presents everytime we meet up with someone, it’s all getting back to normal. As I’m sure everyone has noticed though, Christmas things are starting to appear in shops and it’s amazing how well the marketing works as she’s already talking about Father Christmas and getting excited. I’m not sure she fully understands when I tell her she’s still got almost 3 months to go! Here’s a few highlights from our week:
And now onto this weeks #LittleLoves:
I’m only a few more chapters on with The People at Number 9 by Felicity Everitt. Less a reflection on the book and more a reflection on the lack of spare time I seem to have had this week! I want to try and make a dent in it this week though. Wish me luck!
Strictly…..Great British Bake Off….a few more episodes of Orange is the New Black. Much of the same so not much more to report here really. The Apprentice did start again this week but I can’t really count that as I was only half listening while editing some videos so I need to re-watch it on catch up at some point!
Mmmm – nothing that really comes to mind. I have so many podcasts on my ‘to listen to’ list but I just don’t seem to be able to get to them. I did have a little retro rock out the the Artic Monkeys as I was blitzing through my wardrobe in the week though and had a great time! You really can’t beat a bit of Mardy Bum!
I made this fabulous Ginger and Sesame Quinoa Salad again this week which is a really quick and easy make for a warm lunchtime meal.
My newly streamlined capsule wardrobe!!! I was reading all about capsule wardrobes along with a how to guide over on Lyndsey Stripped and I have to say I was inspired! My wardrobe was pretty much filled with clothes that I still had just because they fit me, rather than because I liked them.
This left me feeling stressed about it most of the time as although I had oodles of clothes, I never seemed to have anything to wear. So – I’ve invested in a few more basics like some new jeans and some t-shirts and stripped out all the rest. I now have an autumn capsule wardrobe!
It’s not that small in practice but it is seriously reduced for me comprising of 6 cardigans, 4 dresses, 1 shirt, 4 light jumpers, 3 pairs of skinny jeans, a pair of boyfriend fit jeans, 6 t-shirts and some leggings. 24 pieces total. So far I am loving it and choosing what to wear in the morning is so less stressful as I know everything goes as a mix and match. I’ll keep you posted as to how I get on though!
I made a good start this week on trying out my mobile studio set up. Going into someone else’s home to set up is so different to doing it in your own home so I learnt so much around what works and what doesn’t. I have a few more things to try out and test before launching but I feel like I’m a good step closer which is awesome!
More importantly the customer was so pleased with the end result so I couldn’t be more thrilled!
