Whoop whoop – my LittleLoves post is going out on time. That is on time for me rather than on time for the linky as I always like to do my weekly round up on a Sunday night so I can look back and try and capture the little moments that have made our week special.
This week has been a great one. The hubby and I had a date day on Monday when we went segwaying and I am pleased to say I was good at it! This was a surprise to both of us seeing as I’m not even the best at riding a bike but apparantly I rock at the segway. Unfortunately at 5k a pop it won’t be replacing the family bicycles any time soon!
We’ve also had a catch up at the zoo with friends, a day filled with play dates and a day out at Llangollen to see Thomas the Tank Engine. Though that was after a stressful morning pulling together all the bits we need for Henry’s passport. Something I completely forgot to apply for even though we fly out on holiday in 3 weeks: definate oops moment!
Here’s some of my favourite pictures from the week.
My Slimming World Food Optimising book! I’ve bit the bullet and joined as it’s time to take control and reclaim my body now I’ve finished having babies but apparantly I don’t seem to be able to do that without some kind of accountability to keep me on track. It was a great week this week until we hit the weekend and now little nibbling habits are creeping back in so I need to nip that in the butt!!
Nothing that really stands out….I have kept meaning to catch up on my Netflix wish list but there just hasn’t been time this week as we’ve been out and about so much. A lot of admin things to work through and clearing out to do so the week has just dissapeared!
The same news as everyone else and that is that there will be a new general election this year.
I think it’s a really clever move on May’s part as the opposition is just not ready and it will silence all the haters who said she was never voted in to do the job. I’ve never voted conservative in my life but I’ll be honest and say I’m considering it. More from lack of choice than anything else! I’d LOVE to vote for someone (anyone!) else, but what are the options? The leader of the opposition can’t even run his own party let alone the country. And how can you trust an MP who last week was trying to vote Corbyn out as unfit to lead the Labour party but suddenly next week he’s fit to lead the country??
I don’t know…..I shall see what the campaign trails have to say and have a good look through their policies on ALL topics before making a final decision.
It’s been back on the sewing machine for me this week (at last!) and I’ve been playing around with this new summer dress pattern. It’s taken a little reworking – and a lot of lessons learnt! – but I’m pleased with how light and simple it is. Perfect for the summer!
This fabulous new dress from Celuu. They sent it over for a review and I have to say it was nice to wear something nice for a change that wasn’t leggings and comfy tops!!
It’s been great to stick to a meal plan this week. In an attempt to not only stay on plan but also save money. We’ve done well to stick to it completely every day barr one when we were out all day. Next week I’m going for 100%!!
It’s going to be a big week for rushing around next week as playgroups are back on, we have a passport appointment in Liverpool and a wonderful play date planned on Friday. All added to my work to do list!! It’s always good to be busy though.
