This weeks pictures chosen to represent and celebrate my childrens childhood come from an impromptu little studio session in our living room. It was chucking it down with rain (again!) and I wanted to try out a cheesy Christmas backdrop idea so that’s exactly what we did. Yes I know it’s only Septembe but what can I say…..the holidays are coming and us bloggers need to be prepared. This shot however is the reality of being the kids of a blogger and far too used to having a camera pointed at them! It’s not perfect but it’s so very real and I love it.

I had a few options I’d shortlisted for Darcie this week and so I let her pick which one was her favourite and this was her choice. To be fair I love it. She’s playing with her favourite Paw Patrol characters with complete glee. Although she hates having her picture taken now and refuses to look at the camera, for some reason she loves playing around in front of the “big lights”. Apparantly they’re exciting….I’ve no idea why but I’m rolling with it!
It’s been a mixed week this week for her. Their daddy has been away with work for 2 nights so it’s been a mixture of playing up as she’s missed the one on one time we usually have in the evening as I’ve been flying solo with a temperamental toddler and teething baby. But in the next breath she’s been such a little trooper and a great help. Toddlers eh? They certainly keep you guessing!
This little man has had a hard week as all 4 molars are coming through at the same time. One has already cut, I think another 2 are almost through and the last one is just bulging. That means all he’s wanted is mama and just nothing else will do. It’s been exhausting but we’re getting by! Thank goodness for calpol…….
He’s a 100% walker now though. First steps came at the beginning of the summer and as it usally does, it took a little while for him to find his balance on the move and to find his confidence. Those days are gone now though and he’s walking everywhere. I love that little toddler waddle they have when they first walk and am really going to miss it when it’s gone.
