My Week in Moments 2020 | week 41

It’s been a little while since I’ve paused and taken a look back on my week. This did at one point become a kind of gratitude journal for me and to be honest, I miss it. So, it is something I want to get back into the habit doing again.

I am also hoping that getting back into the habit of pausing and being grateful for what I have, will trigger some creativity in me to look for ways for me to capture those moments through my lens.

In the meantime, here are a few of the things I have been grateful for this week.

(Almost) back to work

I’m currently still on furlough leave as to say that the charity sector has been hit massively by the pandemic, is a serious understatement.

I heard this week though that not only do I still have a job, but I should be heading back in November. It will mean a reduction in hours and pay which isn’t ideal, but I am incredibly thankful to still have a role in the organisation. Which is more than many can say at the moment, so I am counting my blessings.

Autumn vibes

This is by far my favourite time of year. This period when the leaves are turning and just starting to fall. It doesn’t last long, but while it does the display is stunning.

The colours, the cosy vibes and the pumpkins. I love it all.

Family walks

This time of year means one thing for us as a family: autumn walks. Each weekend during this time of year you will usually find us out and about exploring somewhere beautiful and with trees. This week it was Ty Mawr seeing as we are unable to leave our county due to local restrictions in Wales. Luckily it was natural beauty on our doorstep.

I’ll do a full write up later this week for anyone who is interested in visiting themselves, but in the meantime here is a little sneak peek!

What are you grateful for this week?
