A little late in the day because….well bank holiday weekend! While I sit here on a Monday night that feels like a Sunday, I can confirm that we’ve had a great one. A date night with hubby on Saturday night and then a family day out to the Geronimo Festival on Sunday which is where this weeks Bear Portrait pictures were taken.
I’ve mentioned a few times that we’re struggling with her emotions at the moment and therefore had a little bit of a wobble to the start of the day. After a few tears and sadly a few tantrums, the circus finally got her into the spirit of the festival and from there on in she had a great time running, exploring, climbing and building things. I was really impressed that there were so many things for them to actually get their hands on a do rather than just watch and listen. We all even had our very first go on the helter skelter together!
My little trooper. He lasted the whole day without a single nap. He flagged a few times but did amazingly well. He loved everything about it though. The sandpit, bubbles, pirate ship and Tumble Tots tent were a few particular favourites. He just loved being out and about and exploring. We were initally unsure about how he would do in a festival environment but we needn’t have worried as he had a blast. Watch this space for our full review of the festival, but this weekend has really made me excited for Just So Festival which we have booked in August.
