This week has been pretty uneventful in the grand scheme of things – working full time and juggling a toddler’s routine doesn’t really encourage creativity or free time for that matter!
Be that as it may; this week’s little loves include:
Do knitting patterns count? This week seems to have just disappeared in a sea of normality and not a single magazine or book was picked up.
In fact this has promoted a reaction from me as what I have read is Facebook. 18 months ago I was very rarely on FB – I used it as a way of keeping track over friends overseas etc but would check it maybe once a day, if that. Fast forward through pregnancy and maternity leave and I actually check it a ridiculous amount of times a day so I’ve taken the app off my phone and iPad and will not be logging in until at least the new year. Time to take a break as it’s not healthy or productive to spend so much time on social media. Instagram and blogging stays as I feel I use both these medium as I first intended which is to pause, reflect and memorialise how things are right now. More of a diary that a status.
Hopefully doing this will mean that FB can go back to simply being a way to check in with people who I am not in contact with on a day to day basis rather than it becoming such a focal point in my life. This should (hopefully) also mean I get more time back to do things I actually enjoy !!
The news. Still. And it’s still scary but you know what, we will not let them win and we will not live in fear.
Justin Beiber’s new album. I’ve been impressed with what he has released and thought I was on the verge of becoming a ‘belieber’ so thought I’d give the album a listen. Yeah, no worry on joining the ‘belieber’ ranks as it seems everything good has been released and what was left was a lot of self importance.
I also heard some amazing news as my best friend is getting married!! It was their two year anniversary yesterday and I assume the question was popped and gladly excited so hopefully 2016 will bring with it some wedding bells. There are no words for how excited I am over this news.
A very good friend is due her second child in a month and I’m desperately trying to finish a few bits I’ve been trying to whip up for her. This week a little bunny rattle joined the pile to be included.
