Well !! This week we’ve had sickness more than anything as both the bear and I have not been well which means that hubby has been bearing the brunt of things!!
However, it’s also been a week of birthdays, both mine and also one of Darcie’s little friends (who is coincidentally also the daughter of one of my best friends). She had a lovely little birthday party and for the first time Darcie was old (and confident!) enough to run off and play in the hall while we looked on as before now, she pretty much would hang onto us like a little limpet.
I have mixed emotions about this as it seems like the last echos of my little baby are disappearing by the day but in her place is this amazing little girl is who exploring her world with wonder as it grows for her. It’s amazing (and scary) to watch.
A lot of blogs this week….I’ve taken a renewed interest in what other people are reading now I have a little more time post-dissertation. It’s refreshing to open your eyes and see what’s being written by ‘ordinary’ people once in a while.
On the book front I’ve just started a trashy romance novel….not quite mills & boon but in that region. More because I just can’t decided what to read next so it’s filler material until I finally decided to pick up the next book.
Evidently a lot of cr*p as not a single thing stands out in an entire week. How bad is that?!
I’ve been exploring bands this week based on what singles I like in the charts….so far Bring me the Horizon has been a bit of a non-starter but I’m really enjoying The 1975.
This week I made some progress on a new Christmas present I started – another knitted piece which means it takes time to do! I also made a start on filling beans’ nursery ready for their arrival in July – more specifically this cover for the Ikea chair we previously used in the bears nursery. Super cheap, easy and quick to make!!
Pregnancy update….27 weeks and apparently the baby is now approximately 36 cm and weights around 875 g, and boy is s/he making their presence known as it’s starting to become really uncomfortable. I can’t believe we still have 13 weeks to go. Am starting to worry that I won’t last the duration with being able to fit behind the steering wheel!!
