As mummy I am always on the look out for new and interesting start up companies. Especially those who maybe offer something a little bit different. So when the team from The Baby Gift Company got in contact with the opportunity to review some bibs from their site, we thought why not. One thing we always need is bibs!
USING THE SITE
The website is clean, professional and easy to navigate and I was very quickly able to select my goods and check out using PayPal. When you use the service you automatically default to get Facebook messenger updates. Although you can opt out of should you wish, I found this to be a really nice touch. Nowadays most people I believe use social media and instant messenger services more than they use email and text so this really shows them to be a forward thinking company. However, the email confirmation was still there if you are like me and still like a more traditional confirmation too!
The website keeps you updated as to your order status and you get messenger alerts every step of the way so you know exactly at what stage your order is at.
I chose the Three Bib Bundle which is a set of grey, navy and white personalised bibs. They were ordered on 28th April and arrived on 5th May therefore seeing as they were personalised and had to be made, I was very impressed with the speed of delivery.
They were well packaged and came in the cutest little personalised box which can be kept and used. Ours is currently in Henry’s room holding a few of his little memory bits.
Very good quality, the bibs are 100% cotton and not only soft but very thick too. The colours are lovely and bold and they are a good size making them a great option as a food bib. They cover a good proportion of clothes which for my son is a very good thing as he had a tendancy to miss his mouth!
As a mummy to two I will be the first to say that £25 for three bibs is a little steep, especially with the amount that they go through. However, as a gift idea for a new baby I think this is perfect. A very good quality product that is not only practical for a new mother, but has a lovely keepsake element to it in the form of the box. This is a gift that would last past a few months – unlike baby clothes – and would be easy to hold on to for the memories.
