The Little Man seems to be growing at an uncontrollable rate at the moment; something I never really encountered with the Bear who is still pretty small. He is another matter entirely though and this was made even more apparent over the past few weeks from the fact that he outgrew all his baby towels. It seems that it was time to upgrade to toddler towels!
I had a little look around online and found Cuddledry who agreed to send us some towels from their range to review. We – and by we I mean me – were thrilled! Yes I know, how times have changed that I now get excited by towels, but what can I say? I just roll with it! The Bear was sent a Cuddlebug Pink Polka Dot and the Little Man was sent the Cuddleroar.
Immediately you can feel the quality of the towels as soon as you open the packaging. Super soft to the touch they feel so snuggly that I could not wait to get to bath time to try them out.
HERS – THE CUDDLEBUG PINK POLKA DOT
The Bear immediately loved her towel – it is pink afterall! – and it is currently the only thing that will get her out of the bath without tears. She loves to run through the house in it, flapping her arms and pretending they’re her wings. It is held in place by a little popper under the chin so the towel remains firmly in place throughout all this ‘flying’.
It has double layers in both the main towel section and the hood which is great for keeping her warm and drying all that hair!! The dotty design is lovely and the little ears are just super cute. It is also nice and big with plenty of fabric to wrap around her and keep her warm.
HIM – THE CUDDLEROAR
This is great fun and really did look like a little dragon. The popper below the chin was perfect for him as he just won’t keep a towel on, therefore – similar to the Bears towel – this held it in place while he happily played peek-a-boo with the extra room he had in the wings!
Similar to the Cuddlebug, the Cuddleroar has a hood for easy hair drying and extra warmth. Though convincing the Little Man to keep the hood up was a little light fighting a losing battle. The colour is bright and viabrant and it’s a great fit for him.
Cuddledry market their toddler towels from walking age until 3 years but I have found it perfect for the Little Man too, who is not quite walking yet but sturdy at sitting. They are made from natural bamboo fibre and pure cotton which is what makes them so soft. This is also what makes them so absorbant too – 60% more absorbent than pure cotton apparantly according to the website and with a natural antibacterial quality.
You can find both the Cuddlebug and the Cuddleroar on the Cuddledry website along with their full range. Both retail at £34.99.
I love these towels. They are such fun and why shouldn’t bathtime be fun? Really great quality, the Bear especially loves hers. They are super soft and so absorbant that I wish they did them in adult sizes as who wouldn’t want to snuggle up inside one of them?
Now over to the Little Man for the final word on what he thought!
