It’s been a week of mixed emotions – the kids have been out for 3 days this week at grandparent day care while I work from home and I’ve missed them desperately. The house is just too quiet without them! On the other side of the coin though it’s been great to finally get started with the business; there’s so much that I want to do and now I’m getting a little time in the week to start doing it. That doesn’t stop me missing them though but it does make me really appreciate the other 4 days of the week when we are together.
The surprise of the week came today though when we popped to Charlies (a very random superstore) and ended up having a great family day out including a roast beef dinner, a little shopping including an aquarium stop off for some fishy viewing and all finished off with some soft play fun. Seriously though, if you’re ever stuck in the house on a rainy day with a stir crazy toddler I thoroughly recommend your local garden centre etc as the Bear had a great time!

It’s been a busy week and technically my first back after maternity leave as I will be taking three days a week to start working from home on a self employed basis. We kind of started this week as Alex took the kids up to the grandparents on a few days to allow me to get things started. It’s a very strange feeling being in the house alone and I have serious guilt this time around which I never had after I returned to work full time after Darcie which is just bonkers seeing as I’ll be off with them so much more. I think it’s because she’s just so much more aware now but hopefully she will adjust.
Henry – because he’s still so young – I think will be happy as long as he’s getting love and cuddles and is fed!
The last week has been amazing. Lovely weather – check. Great surroundings – check. An entire 5 days away with my wonderful little family – check!
As mentioned in last weeks #littleloves, we spent the week at Centre Parks – something that’s become a little annual tradition it seems – though this was our first stay at the Sherwood Forest park and we loved it. It’s not the easiest trip for us across country but once arrived we quickly dumped the car and started to explore. What followed is 5 days of family fun and catch up’s with friends as we laughed, swam, smiled, did some pottery decoration and ate far too many yummy things!
