Living Arrows 10/52
Unfortunately we have a sick house this week – Henry has a cold so has both a snotty nose and snotty eyes bless him which he has very kindly passed on to me and Darcie has some kind of tummy bug where she’s off her food and complaining of an ouchy belly. As of today it seems like she’s passed that onto hubby so between us all there’s not a healthy one in the house!
In fact the highlight of the week has been a trip to Go Outdoors to play in the tents. We’re determind to try and start camping again this summer, Henry will be 1 or thereabouts and Darcie will be coming up to 3 so it could be do-able I think with a little planning. However I have the feeling we’ll need a little more kit with 2 kids under 3 in tow!
Anyway…..he’s my Little Loves for the last week:
It’s been a week of mixed emotions – the kids have been out for 3 days this week at grandparent day care while I work from home and I’ve missed them desperately. The house is just too quiet without them! On the other side of the coin though it’s been great to finally get started with the business; there’s so much that I want to do and now I’m getting a little time in the week to start doing it. That doesn’t stop me missing them though but it does make me really appreciate the other 4 days of the week when we are together.
The surprise of the week came today though when we popped to Charlies (a very random superstore) and ended up having a great family day out including a roast beef dinner, a little shopping including an aquarium stop off for some fishy viewing and all finished off with some soft play fun. Seriously though, if you’re ever stuck in the house on a rainy day with a stir crazy toddler I thoroughly recommend your local garden centre etc as the Bear had a great time!
It’s been a great week this week and you will have hopefully noticed that we have a little rebranding which has gone on. Emma over at Daydreams and Ice Creams has come up with our amazing new banner and avatar and I cannot recommend her enough. I loved aspects of the old one but just felt it was too dull and needing jazzing up a little which Emma has done perfectly. She listened to what I wanted and managed to translate that into exactly what I wanted in such a short space of time…so thank you Emma!!
So where to start….I’ve been missing for a few days and in all honesty it’s just because life has gotten in the way. In that time I have:
Chosen not to continue with the 30 Day Blogging Challenge
I feel a little mixed about this as I feel like I am quitting and out of some weird sense of obligation, I feel like I should finish. That is completely bonkers though as the only person putting pressure on me to complete it is me. The purpose of the challenge was to get me back into the rhythm on blogging on a daily basis, or at least thinking and planning posts and to that end it has been successful but as I fell behind the pressure to keep up removed the enjoyment from it, which in itself stopped me from posting. The irony right?! So instead of forcing myself to continue, I am taking what I have learnt and moving on.
Enjoyed a beautiful weekend away
Last weekend we went with hubby’s Mum and her side of the family to an amazing house in Anglesey. 10 adults and 2 children, it could have been a recipe for disaster but it was actually pretty awesome. It was a beautiful location and the house was so huge it allowed everyone their own space if they needed it – I mean who wants to spend all their time with a tantruming toddler and squirmy baby right?!
Great company, great food and a few cheeky glasses of bubbles – what more could we ask for. Watch out for a separate post on the house and location…well worth positive feedback!
Started a new venture
This is what has kept me busy over the past week and without meaning to sounds cryptic, more on this at another time!!
