Today is officially the first day of spring, though you wouldn’t believe it considering the rollercoaster weather we’ve had recently. Here in our little corner of North Wales, it was 12 degrees on Friday last week, quickly followed by -2 on Saturday. A difference of 14 degrees in 24 hours! However, despite the volatile weather, we’ve been doing our best to get ready for spring with a little help from Baker Ross.

Painted pebbles really are as simple as they sound: find some pebbles and paint them. Although the principle is simple, the possibilities are endless. The Bear is almost at pre-school age (starts in September….eeek!) and we’re currently working on the alphabet. More specifically her name so she can spell and recognise it when the time comes to going to school. Therefore, I wanted to decorate some stones so we could start working on that.
I’m very lucky that both my children love stories. We have a playroom, a living room and two bedrooms overflowing with books and (as a reader myself) I could not be more proud. One thing we do indulge in without much restriction is books. They both have their favourites and they love nothing more than sitting down and reading through them. Something we do daily.
