So, here we are. One week into a chaotic world of a semi lockdown, home schooling, work from home, try not to maim each other life. Here is what we have learnt this week.
Today is our third day home schooling and our second day on lockdown. My kids are currently sat enjoying a movie while they eat their lunch – despite it being a lovely day outside – and I’m grabbing a quick 15 minutes at my laptop while they’re happy. Is this normal? No. Is this structured learning? No. Am I bothered? No.
This week’s ordinary moment was taken in a very small window of opportunity yesterday afternoon when Storm Ciara quietened down a little. There wasn’t much we could do as all the roads around out village were flooded, but we still managed to grab our scooters and bikes for a little fresh air. The Bear is loving the Little Man’s balance bike at the moment for some reason and we all loved grabbing the opportunity to get outside for an hour.

This week it was all about Sunday fun day as poor papa bear was on his 6 day straight. That means that we crammed lots of extended family time in on Saturday to make the most of it and then headed out on a mini family adventure to the Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire. Yes, you read that right….an Ice Cream Farm!
