So this is one of two updates I’m in mid-post with. It’s just been one of those weeks!! First #littleloves (i totally have no idea if I can play on this bandwagon but I’m going with it!!)
Another week has flown by, it is so scary how quickly it all goes. Although the bear is poorly (again!) it seems we still manage to cram quite a bit into the past 7 days!
Not a lot again unfortunately but I have just started Life and Death by Stephanie Meyer which is the first Twilight book reimagined with a gender swap of all the main characters.
I’m not quite full twi-hard but I did read these books around the time that the first film came out which is also when I got married (we watched it while overseas to get married) so it holds a few fond memories away from the story itself. It’s a story I know and therefore I assumed would be easy reading….and so far so predictable which is what I need at the moment while there’s so much else going on!
Although it’s already been back on our screens for a few weeks, the first few shows were overshadowed by the Rugby World Cup however it has now found a way back into our lives and hearts for the new season.
It also means it’s the time of year for the Apprentice which we also love in our house in that cringe, awkward kind of way.
Not a lot at all – music has been very much absent in my life at the moment other than the commute to childcare and work so I’ve pretty much just heard CBeebies on in the background at times. However, once thing I am doing is listening to an old iPod in the car in alphabetical order of songs (and damn there is some crap in there!!). I’m up to “L” and therefore am currently humming L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N by Noah and the Whale.
Nothing of note at all….!
Though I have now worn my hair short as it got cut on Wednesday last week which was LONG overdue. The fact it has been tied back in a ponytail with an elastic bobble for the past 18 months did not do it any favours so it was time for a fresh cut and start again.
Well that was a lot harder than what it looks like on the bake off but it’s done and the bear has a first birthday cake. It’s lumpy and bumpy but lets hope it tastes good!!
Also booties for a very good friend who has a baby due in December; not long to go now at all.
We have (read now as had!!) the bears delayed first birthday party on Saturday. A lot later and smaller thank originally planned (yes, thank you chicken pox) but it was am awesome day.
More to come on that with the weekend blog entry.
