Living Arrows 8/52

Her – with spending so much time together last week we really noticed just how well she is speaking this week.  She can articulate so well now and can have a lengthy two way conversation.  Don’t get me wrong, she’s been speaking for some time now but over the last few weeks it seems to have really stepped up to another level.  Not only that though as we have had another milestone this week – at 2 years and 5 months she has learnt to roly-poly (or forward roll to most folks!).  It took a little guidence at first but after a few solo attempts she got it and was off!! It actually surprised me as I didn’t think kids started to do things like this until a lot later so super proud mama over here!

Him – we went out for brunch with some great friends yesterday and Henry was a little grump as the service was slow (45 minutes for it to make it to the table) so by the time it arrived he was just too hungry to cope bless him so it took a little time for him to figure out that eating will make his tummy feel better.  It wasn’t helped by the fact mummy and daddy didn’t bring any bottles out with us (parent guilt galore there!). However this morning we spotted another reason….at 7 months he’s popped his first tooth overnight. Poor little man must have been so sore trying to eat with achy gums. I am really going to miss his gummy smile though and it feels like he is really starting to grow up.

  1. It’s always a shock when the first tooth pops through. Hope he’s not in too much pain once the rest come through. And well done on the forward rolls. #livingarrows

  2. Wow thats great she has managed a forward roll, one of Riley’s friends can do a roly-poly and he is desperate to do one too but can’t quite manage. There really is not much worse than parent guilt is there? Although you would never expect food to take that long to arrive. Its so exciting when those first teeth start appearing – it really changes their smile though doesn’t it! x

  3. That forward roll is so impressive – I’m not even sure I can do that! 🙂 x

  4. First tooth – what a milestone! Such a cute picture of your two. x

  5. Haha I am sure that I can’t do a forward roll! These little ones are amazing aren’t they.
