Autumn at Erddig | photo walk
I love this time of year when the temperatures cool and the trees begin to burst with colour. This weekend I managed to join a photography walk around Erddig, and it was wonderful to get out and enjoy taking a little time with just my camera.
What is Erddig?
A much loved home in North Wales, Erddig is a lovely mix of a 1200 acre estate, beautiful house and walled gardens. Erddig is now under ownership of the National Trust and is easily one of my favourite places.
Find them at: Erddig, Wrexham, LL13 0YT.
Erddig is currently enjoying it’s 32nd Apple Harvest where more than 173 out of more than 200 varieties currently grown on site are currently on display.
Most of the apple celebrations have come to an end, but the apple display will remain open until the end of the month. So, if you are in the area, it is definitely worth popping in for a look.
THE PHOTOS
This focus for this walk was aperture. I love a focal point so for these images I kept the aperture as low as possible and allowed the subject to tell its own story. For editing, I chose a mixture of effects working with the subject of the image, whether that is working to highlight texture and detail or showcasing an abundance of colour.
Here are a handful of my favourite shots.
