Discovering my style with Simply Be
This is a review post.
I have been sent these items for the purpose of this review, however all opinions are my own.
It’s no secret that I’m unhappy with my weight and the complete opposite of body confident at the moment. Two children in two years means that I’ve been left with a body that is completely different to the one I had pre-pregancy. That means my wardrobe has taken a hit and I’m left with a style that is nothing short of a leggings and mum-bun combo.
I have to admit though, now that kids are getting older I really miss dresses which used to be my ‘go to’ item of clothing. So, when I was given the opportunity to give my wardrobe an update with Simply Be, I was excited to do exactly that.
I wanted to pick a few pieces which would mean that I was ready for any occasion. This is what I came up with.
READY FOR LUNCH
For lunch I picked this Black Floral Chiffon Skater Dress.
I loved the print of this and how lightweight it looked. I could see the pink florals making it fabulous for the summer but also by teaming it with thick tights and boots, it would be great for winter too.
Although fitted in design, I really liked this dress. I felt nice in it and not self concious at all. It feels like something I could easily dress down for lunch while out shopping, or dress up a little for an evening dinner.
READY FOR WORK
For work I chose this Chain Print Skater Wrap Dress.
I wanted something a little bolder than I would usually go for, but something that would still be suitable for work. The stretch material means that it’s comfortable to wear and the fact that it’s a mock wrap means I don’t need to worry about things coming undone during the day! I am out and about a lot at work with my camera, therefore I needed something that will not restrist me in any way.
This really was comfortable to wear and is another dress that could be easily dressed up and dressed down. It had plenty of stretch in it meaning that I doesn’t hinder me at all while I’m working, which is great!
READY FOR A DATE
The dress I chose for a date was this Paisley Print Wrap Woven Dress.
Not only did I immediately love the print on this one but I also loved the shape too.
This was my favourite of the four dresses as I found it not only comfortable to wear, but really flattering too. I really liked the neckline on this and loved the layered wrap front which made it a little more interesting than a standard wrap dress. This is definitely going to be a go to dress in my wardrobe when I want to feel confident!
READY FOR A NIGHT WITH THE GIRLS
The final dress I chose was for a night with the girls which is this fabulous Zebra Print Swing Dress.
Made from a jersey material, it has a round neck and long sleeves making it great for every season. Bright and beautiful, it’s pefect for a night out on the town with the girls.
This dress was really comfortable to wear. At first I was a little unsure of the jersey material but it didn’t cling at all. Teamed with black tights and boots, I felt ready to head out for a little fun.
And that’s it! What did you think of my choices?
I know that it’s really hard to be confident with how you look when you’re not comfortable in your size; trust me….I KNOW that. However, dressing in clothes that not only fit well but are also both stylish and comfortable, goes a long way to regaining your confidence. Personally, I can’t wait to start adding to my limited wardrobe!
