Anyone who follows the blog will know that we recently went on holiday. This included a 2-hour flight to France. Pre-kids, a 2-hour flight was no issue. I would read a book, maybe have a little snooze and then before you know it we are coming in to land. Add two toddlers into the mix though, and suddenly a 2-hour flight fills me with terror.
These days we need to fly prepared. This takes the form of their own little backpack filled with things to keep them entertained. Food and toys are always the key to success and we ram their bag to the top full of them. Things like snacks, books, puzzles, crayons and colouring books. Then of course lots of little toys that they can open one by one and enjoy. Therefore, I thought I’d share a few of our favourite little toys we were asked to play with recently and what I think would make a great addition to a travel bag.
LOL SURPRISE DOLL – CONFETTI POP
This is a fabulous toy for a flight because there are lots of goodies to uncover in addition to a fabulous little doll. The Bear absolutely loved peeling back each section to reveal a little surprise in every layer. Inside we found some shoes, an outfit, a little charm, a bottle and a face mask. Then of course we had the prize in the middle – a LOL doll.
There were other surprises included too, such as a secret message sticker, a water surprise sticker and a ring tattoo. Though at 3, to be honest the Bear is a little young for these bits. Therefore, she wasn’t as interested in those as she was the doll and all her accessories.
We got ‘babydoll’ from the Sleepover Club in our ball and the Bear LOVED it. So much so that she joined us for the rest of the holiday and even kept her company the entire way home. She loved dressing and undressing her, putting her to bed and bathing her.
The other thing the Bear loved were Moj Moj.
If you haven’t come across these before they are collectable little squishies. They are exactly what they say on the tin. Small, cute little animals which are wonderfully squishy. She loved the colours, the animals and of course the squishiness.
In our packs were Ducky-Wucky, Harry the Hedgehog, Puppy-Wuppy, Pink Kitty, Polar Bear and Rabbi the Rabbit. I have no idea where we got the names from, but they’ve stuck now.
These are great as a little pocket filler. A bit of fun and super cute. They’ve certainly been great for my little lady who adores anything cute, and if by any chance one of them is pink. Well, that’s all the better!
So, there we have it. A few of my recommendations for things that would work great as an addition to any travel pack. Add to snacks, puzzles, books and colouring for a pack that will keep little ones entertained.
