Introducing the 2018 Book Challenge

While I may dislike resolutions, I do love a good challenge. I’ve spoken about my blogging goals and my personal aim to try and reduce the waste that we produce as a family. This one is a little more of a personal challenge. A book challenge to be specific.

I love to read and – pre-children – used to go through books at quite and impressive speed. I still manage to squeeze in the odd book from time to time, and love to share my thoughts in the book club category on the blog. Now that Henry is getting older though, I want to start reading more again. I’ve always been in love with the written word, and really miss it.

So, here it is. My 2018 book challenge. Designed to not only get me reading more, but to get me reading a wide variety of books. There is everything on there: old, new, long, short, non-fiction. There should be plenty to keep me interested.

2018 Book Challenge

I didn’t want to set myself up to fail, so the challenge is only 12 books long. One a month on average. I’m hoping to be able to read alongside the challenge but I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself as I am sure that life will no doubt get in the way over the next year. One things for sure, I’m looking forward to seeing what books these 12 categories inspire me to choose.

What about anyone else. Are there any other readers out there that fancies joining me on this challenge??
