Making sure your hot tub weekend break is the best it can be
This is a collaborative post. Thank you for supporting the posts which make this blog possible.
It’s the ultimate accessory for a weekend break. But if you’ve never used one before you might not know what to expect when it comes to hot tubs.
Luckily, when it comes to enjoying a hot tub on holiday it’s actually pretty simple. You don’t have to worry about any of the maintenance or settings that you’d have to deal with if you owned it yourself!
You’re on holiday, after all, so the main thing for you to worry about is making sure that you’re relaxing and enjoying yourself.
Now, let’s get you looking forward to those future hot tub weekend breaks, so read on for our tips of how to make your break the best it can be.

Don’t stress
This first one should be a no-brainer. You’re going on this break to relax – presumably! – so don’t ruin that relaxing vibe by stressing out.
Of course, it’s easier said than done when it comes to not being stressed. In fact, being told not to often makes you do it more. Still, try your best to leave the stress at the door when you arrive at your holiday destination.
Fortunately, even if you do bring some stress along with you, the hot tub is a perfect remedy for that. Thanks to the heat of the waters your body will naturally start to relax once you get in the tub, easing your muscles and making it hard to keep worrying.
Just to be on the safe side, make sure you take full advantage of your holiday hot tub and give yourself plenty of opportunities to relax in the bubbling waters.
Pack the right things
When you arrive at your holiday destination and are all set to enjoy your hot tub, the last thing you want is to realise that you left your swimsuit at home.
Not everyone is into writing packing lists ahead of their holidays. That said, when you want to take full advantage of the facilities you need to make sure that you remember the essentials at least.
At the very least, swimwear should be one of the first things you pack for this particular break. If you plan on using your hot tub more than once a day, it might also be worth having a couple of options packed.
It’s also worth double-checking whether towels are included as part of your accommodation, otherwise you might be left cold when you get out of the hot tub. And, if it’s an outside hot tub you’ll be soaking in, remember the suncream too.
Take a break from the screens
As much as we all want to take pictures and document our travels, sometimes it’s best to put the phone down for a bit on holiday. After all, the whole point of taking a trip somewhere is to enjoy being there.
In fact, your weekend break is the perfect time to take a little digital detox. Living in the moment as you take the time to explore and enjoy your holiday destination is an excellent way to break away from the phone screen.
This is especially important if you’re not just going on holiday solo. Spending quality time with your friends, partner or family is how you’ll make the best memories of your time away together.
Even if you do still need your phone to take pictures, limit your use of it to just that and don’t spend too long trying to set up the perfect shot.
Of course, when it comes to making your holiday as enjoyable as possible the only real expert is you! Still, we’ve hopefully given you some food for thought when you’re planning your next trip away.
